Between blue flags, wild beaches, nature reserves, children's beaches and ancient fishing villages a stone's throw from the mountains with the characteristic profile of the Gran Sasso that stands out in front of the sea. Abruzzo is a land of wonders and magic: it passes from the perennial Gran Sasso glacier to the 133 kilometers of Adriatic coast and beaches, from the castles perched on the mountains to the overflows, unique and scenic buildings that, it seems, date back to the Phoenicians.
In Abruzzo there are small and characteristic villages and historic cities, sea, beaches and mountains, all in an area easily traveled by car with a pleasant and surprising round trip. The Abruzzo coast is divided in two for its main characteristics: above and below Pescara: the northern area, from Teramo, is a hilly area, marking a very special meeting for the Italian coasts, the one between sea and countryside. The beaches and coasts are similar to those of the Marche, with sandy beaches, regular coastline, shallow water and equipped beaches, also suitable for children, while the southern area, that of the teaton, has irregular cliffs, pebble and pebble beaches, with promontories and wilder coves in the middle of the Mediterranean scrub.

PUNTA PENNA Punta Penna is a wild beach but also suitable for children thanks to the very low bottoms that slowly slothe. Several species of birds nest in the dark sand dunes. PINETO BEACH Pineto beach is a long golden expanse bordered by a large verdant pine forest. There are large free beaches (with dining and services) and private beaches. The protected area of the Cerrano Marine Park is the right place for those who love snorkeling. PUNTA FERRUCCIO Starting from Ortona visit this stretch of Abruzzo coast characterized by a succession of beaches protected by cliffs, coves and sandy beaches. Do not miss the beach of Punta Ferruccio which is located within the Natural Reserve of the Shelters of Job. You will find a protected pebble beach between two rocks that plunge into the sea where naturism is tolerated.

Punta del Cavalluccio Is a beautiful golden beach. Near Rocca San Giovanni, you will find numerous beaches and coves that are absolutely worth a visit. The best known and perhaps also the most frequented is that of the Foce, but if you are looking for a more characteristic place, head to the Cavalluccio beach where you will find a overflow still in use and a stack. What is most striking about this stretch is the cliff which is definitely one of the most beautiful corners of the sea on the coast. BEACH OF SAN GIOVANNI On the Costa dei Trabocchi we mention the beach of San Giovanni where the coves are made of clear gravel and the water is clean and transparent the beach of Ortona. BEACH OF VASTO Vasto Marina beach is one of the best known and suitable for children, families but also for young people, with private and well-organized establishments. RESERVE OF PUNTA ADERCI
Not too far from Vasto is one of the most incredible reserves in the whole region. The Punta Aderci reserve is a sea-view paradise made up of beaches, dunes and woods.
