Most of them are born from a religious festival, on the occasion of a consecration, or to commemorate a saint (generally the holy master of the village in question). They therefore represent folk folklore, historical traditions linked to a territory or to a particular popular event linked to the old days, for example to celebrate the harvest, or alternatively to particular products of local food and wine. Many of these festivals are entirely dedicated to the celebration of food, offering a wide variety of traditional dishes and specialties of the region. Under only some of the major festivals that take place every year within our Abruzzo Region, precisely in the municipalities of Teraman, between folklore, sacred and profane. A very popular summer festival is the 'Sagra degli Spaghetti alla Chitarra' in Campli. During this party, the handmade pasta with the characteristic "guitar" (a traditional tool for cutting pasta) is the absolute protagonist. The locals prepare spaghetti alla chitarra with traditional sauces such as lamb ragout or wild boar sauce, offering visitors an authentic and tasty culinary experience. Another much-loved festival is the "Sagra del Pecorino" in Crognaleto. During this event, local cheeses, in particular Farindola's pecorino cheese, are the center of attention. Visitors can taste and buy fresh or aged cheeses and discover the different shades of taste that characterize this unique product. One of the most renowned festivals is the "Sagra del Tartufo" in Campovalano. the most greedy of the festivals, which this year cuts the ribbon for the twenty-second time. During this festival, truffle lovers can delight in dishes that enhance this precious mushroom, such as truffle pasta, truffle tagliolini and truffle cheeses. The event also offers the opportunity to buy fresh truffles and truffle products directly from local producers. Another festival of great importance is the "Sagra degli Arrosticini" in Valle San Giovanni. The arrosticini, sheep meat skewers, are one of the most beloved specialties of Abruzzo. During this festival, visitors can enjoy these delicious skewers, accompanied by local wines and other culinary delicacies from the region. On July 13, 14, 15 and 16, in Ornano Grande in Colledara, the long-awaited gastronomic appointment returns with the 'Sagra della Frittella Ornanese', now in its seventeenth edition. Every day, from 7 pm, the food stands will be open to taste the typical products of the valley, including the Ornanese pancake: all washed down with beer and musical entertainment. From 7 to 9 July, the historic center of Notaresco hosts the eighth edition of the Festival of Craft Beers, the first and only festival entirely dedicated to the only microbrewers of the province of Teramo and their production. From 19 to 23 in Civitella del Tronto takes place A village of beer, an international exhibition of craft beers and street food for the whole village.
